Questions
What v1 customers ask first.
What is the difference between LaunchList v1 and v2?
v1 collects waitlist signups with a section-based page builder, an embeddable form, referral links and a leaderboard, for a one-time price. v2 is the rebuilt LaunchList: a block-editor page on your own domain, signups by email, phone or username, a trust verdict on every contact, fraud-checked referral credit, broadcasts and automations, early access codes, analytics, a public API, webhooks and an MCP server, on a subscription with a Free plan.
Is LaunchList v1 shutting down?
v1 keeps working for now, and your purchase stands on v1. It will close in time, and we will give you plenty of notice before it does. Moving to v2 is your choice, and you can do it yourself, one waitlist at a time.
What does v2 cost if I paid for v1?
Your first 6 months of the Collect plan are free. Connect your v1 account from workspace billing and we put you on the Collect plan that fits your v1 list or the plan you paid for, whichever is bigger. No card needed. If you pick the Launch or Grow plan instead, the Collect price still comes off every monthly bill until the 6 months are up. Claim it by December 31, 2026. The Free plan, which covers your first 100 contacts, is there for anyone.
How do I move a waitlist from v1 to v2?
In v2, connect your v1 account and pick a waitlist. It is copied into your v2 project with its contacts and signup dates, custom fields, subscription status, referral codes, who referred whom, and everyone's place in line. v1 is only read, never changed, and you can run the import again to bring over people who joined since.
Does importing a waitlist email my contacts?
No. Importing only copies data. It never emails anyone, never starts an automation and never fires a webhook.
Do my v1 embeds, links and custom domain keep working?
Yes, for as long as v1 runs. They keep collecting signups into v1 until you swap in your v2 page or embed. API keys and webhooks are set up fresh in v2.
