Vesper: referral waitlist landing page template in the Luxe style

Luxe. Dark, quiet and invite-only: a warm near-black page, large serif headlines, small capitals, thin hairlines and ivory buttons, with the accent color as a small detail. Suits premium, members-only and limited-release products.

Vesper is a made-up product, so its numbers and quotes are examples. Your page is written about your product, and a section that needs facts only you have, like a price or a customer quote, is left out until you add it.

Who it is for

Who this pre-launch landing page is for

  • A product that opens by invitation

Vesper sends invites from the front of the list each week. If you let people in by place, the page explains the rules for you.

  • A launch that spreads by word of mouth

Every signup gets a personal link, and the steps section tells them what sharing it does.

  • A list with rewards to give

The rewards section shows what people earn for referring friends, read from your referral settings.

Make it yours

What to change first

  1. The three steps

They say how someone joins, shares and gets in. Check them against your referral settings, so the page promises what your list does.

  2. The rewards

Set your rewards in your referral settings and the Referral rewards block shows them. Until then it stays off the public page. Rewards come with the Collect, Launch and Grow plans.

  3. The pace of invites

Vesper promises 200 invites every Friday. Put your own pace in the badge and the questions, or take the number out if you have not decided.

Customize

Change anything on the page

The template is where you start. Beyond its 8 styles, the editor lets you change how every part of the page looks and reads.

Your color, fonts and corners

Set the accent color, the fonts and the corners once, and every section follows.

A few layouts for every block

Each block comes in finished layouts, so a section can change shape and keep its words.

Move, duplicate or remove

Drag a section to a new place, duplicate it or delete it. Add block puts a new one where you want it.

Ask for a change

Say what you want changed in a sentence and the page is edited for you, with an Undo on every change.

Preview, then publish

Check the draft at desktop and phone width. The live page changes only when you publish.

Your logo and share preview

Add your logo, and set the title, description and share image a pasted link shows.

Questions

Questions about the Vesper template

Does everyone who joins get a referral link?
Yes. Each signup gets a personal link on their own status page, and a friend who signs up through it is credited to them. The page needs no setup for that: its form is the form from your project.
When does a friend count toward someone's place?
Waitlist forms ask new signups to confirm their email, so by default a referral counts once the friend confirms. If you turn confirmation off on a form, it counts at signup instead. Either way it has to pass the fraud checks first.
What do the count, the rewards and the leaderboard show before anyone has joined?
The signup count and the rewards stay off the public page until there is something to show, and the page is written to read whole without them. In the editor, each one says what will appear there. The leaderboard fills in as people refer friends.
Can people cheat a viral waitlist with fake signups?
A referral has to pass fraud checks before it counts. The checks look for evidence such as one device or one IP address earning again and again. If you mark a signup as fake yourself, the credit it gave is taken back.
How does someone move up the waiting list?
By sharing their personal link. A friend who joins through it and passes the checks is credited to them, and the people with the most referrals are first in line when you invite from the list.
