Which way should I start with?
No site yet: the Launch page, and add your domain when you have one. A site already: put the inline form where you ask people to join, and point your other buttons at the popup. Your own app: the API. They all feed one list, so you can add another any time.
Is anything I type here saved?
No. This page runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to LaunchList or anyone else, and it is gone when you leave.
Do I need a developer?
Only for the API. The Launch page needs no code, and the inline form and popup are two lines of HTML you paste into your site builder.
Can people sign up with a phone number instead?
Yes. Each form chooses its own identity: an email, a phone number or a username. Referrals, positions and rewards work the same for all three.
