FAQ

Waitlist template questions

What are waitlist templates?
Waitlist templates are ready-made starting points for a product that has not launched yet. LaunchList has three kinds: landing pages for the waitlist itself, signup forms and surveys whose questions are written for you, and the emails you send the people who join. There are launch checklists too.
What should a waitlist signup form ask?
An email address is enough to start. Ask more only when you will use the answer: how they heard about you, to learn where people find you; their role and team size, to know who is joining; how interested they are, to know who to talk to first. Most of the waitlist form templates start with one of those sets, and any field can be added, removed or reworded.
Do the waitlist form templates cost anything?
No. The form builder and every form template are on the Free plan, with no credit card needed.
Can I use a waitlist form template on my own website?
Yes. A form you start from a template can sit on a page LaunchList hosts for you, or on your own site as an embed or a popup. Developers can also send signups through the API.

Start from a page that is already written.

Pick a template, say what you are building, and publish the same day.
