About
Help a Reporter Out (HARO) is a platform that connects journalists with expert sources, for reporters, PR professionals and founders. It is not a product launch board. Journalists submit a query with a summary, query text, outlet name and website, category and deadline. Sources sign up free and get up to three email digests per day, Monday through Friday. The about page says HARO is free for all users. Published sources are credited, often with a link back to their website. The pages do not state a review time or link type. Paid text ads in HARO Editions start from $130 for a Classified.
