Four years ago LaunchList was one thing: a form that collected emails and gave
people a referral link. It did that job for more than 10,000 waitlists and 12
million signups.
Then came the questions it could not answer.
Is this signup a real person, or a bot with a throwaway address? Who actually
referred these 400 people, and can I trust the leaderboard? Can I change the page
without a designer? I have collected 800 emails, so how do I talk to them?
We tried patching. It did not work. v1 was built around a much simpler waitlist
product, and the things people wanted next were foundations, not features.
So we started again.
v2 gives you a page editor with real blocks, one trust verdict per contact,
referrals where credit only lands after verification, email from your own domain,
and an invite system for letting the right people in. It is in private beta,
opening a small group at a time so we can actually respond to what you tell us.
Nothing is being taken away. Your v1 account is not going anywhere, and
joining the beta does not migrate you. I would just rather you saw v2 first.
