# The new LaunchList (v2)

> LaunchList v2 is a subscription pre-launch platform for building a launch page, collecting and verifying signups, running referrals and email, releasing beta access, and measuring growth. It is in private beta, opening in small batches by application. LaunchList v1 remains live as the one-time product, and moving to v2 is optional.

Status: private beta, application only · Last updated: 12 September 2026 · Apply: https://getlaunchlist.com/v2

## The short version

- **What is it?** v1 collected emails. v2 runs the launch around them: a landing page, email broadcasts, referrals, invites and an API on one set of data.
- **One-time or subscription?** Both, on different products. v1 is the one-time product. v2 is a subscription, monthly or quarterly, starting at $0.
- **Do I have to move?** No. Joining v2 does not change or migrate a v1 account.
- **Is anyone grandfathered?** No. Customers who paid for v1 get 30 percent off the base v2 subscription for their first three months. v1 free users do not get the discount.
- **When does it open?** No public date is announced. Seats open in small batches, and every applicant receives a reply.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does joining the beta change my v1 account?

No. Joining the beta creates a v2 workspace to try. It does not move, delete or change anything in v1.

### Does it cost anything to join?

No. There is no beta fee and no card is required. A beta workspace can run on the $0 Free plan for up to 250 contacts.

### Why is v2 a subscription?

Verifying contacts, sending email from a customer's domain, keeping live leaderboards running and continuously shipping the platform create ongoing costs that v1 did not have. The original v1 purchase still stands, and v1 keeps running at no further cost.

### What happens after I apply?

Applications are reviewed as they arrive. Every applicant receives either an invite or an update about where they sit in the queue.
