# How to add a waitlist to Wix > Put a LaunchList signup form on a Wix site with the Embed HTML element, open it as a popup with site-wide Custom Code on a Premium plan, or link a button to your hosted page. Source: https://getlaunchlist.com/help/docs/integrations/wix --- Wix gives you three ways to add LaunchList. Pick by what your Wix plan allows. | Method | Where it goes | Wix plan | | -------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- | | [Embed HTML element](#add-the-form-with-an-embed-html-element) | One spot on one page, in an iframe | No plan requirement stated by Wix; check on a free site | | [Custom Code](#site-wide-with-custom-code) | The real page, as a popup | Premium, with a connected domain and a published site | | [A link to your hosted page](#link-to-your-hosted-page) | Any button or text link | Any | Wix Bookings and Wix Events have waitlists of their own, for full classes and full events. They do a different job from a pre-launch waitlist. ## Add the form with an Embed HTML element Wix's **Embed HTML** element takes your snippet as code. Wix says the element is an [iframe](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-editor-embedding-a-site-or-a-widget): it loads only HTTPS content, it has the fixed size you give it, and it does not adjust itself for mobile. 1. In LaunchList, open **Embed & API โ Your website**, choose **Wix** under **What is your site built with?**, pick your form if you have more than one, and copy the **Inline** snippet it shows. 2. In the Wix Editor, click **Add Elements** (**+**), choose **Embed Code**, then **Popular Embeds**, and pick **Embed HTML**. 3. Click the element on the page, click **Enter Code**, and paste the snippet under **Add your code here**. ```html
``` 4. Click **Apply**. 5. Drag the element's handles until the whole form fits, with room below it for error lines and the success message. Anything taller than the box scrolls inside it. 6. Switch to the mobile view in the editor and size the element there too. 7. Publish, open the live site, and submit a test signup. It appears in **Audience** within a second. These are the labels in the classic Wix Editor. Wix Studio and the newer Wix editor name the same element differently (an **Embed code** element in the **Embed** category of the Add panel); the steps after that are the same. > [!NOTE] On the free plan, check before you build around it > Wix's help centre states no plan requirement for Embed HTML. If your site is on the free plan, add > the element and publish once to confirm the form shows. If it does not, use a link to your hosted > page. ### Choose what happens after signup This is set on the form in LaunchList, not in Wix. Because the form sits in an iframe, the **Status page** or a **Link** would open inside the small Embed HTML box. In the form editor, set **After signup** to **Message** instead, which replaces the form inside the box. Make the box tall enough for it. ### What the iframe changes - **Referral codes.** The form inside the iframe cannot read your Wix page's address, so a `?ref=` code on a link to your Wix page is not seen and the referrer is not credited. If your signups share links to your Wix page, collect signups with the [Custom Code](#site-wide-with-custom-code) popup, or send referral links to your hosted page. - **Popups.** A popup opened from inside an Embed HTML element covers only that element, not the page. - **Styling.** The form takes the design you pick in the LaunchList form editor, under **Design**. Wix's theme does not reach it. ## Site-wide with Custom Code Wix's **Custom Code** setting puts the LaunchList script on the real page, not in an iframe. Wix requires a [published site with a connected domain](https://support.wix.com/en/article/embedding-custom-code-on-your-site), and connecting a domain takes a Premium plan. Wix gives you no way to place a `
