# Sponsor a spot on the launch directories guide

Founders come here to decide where to launch. A sponsor spot puts your product in front of them, labelled, beside the lists and never inside them. Sponsors are how the guide stays free.

## Where a sponsor spot shows

- The hub spot: the first thing under the heading of All places, the page most founders land on. Your logo, one line about your product and your offer.
- The top of a list: one row above the ranked places on one list, a type or a collection, such as Subreddits or Launch boards. Pick the list your buyers read.

## The rules

A sponsor never changes the ranking.

- Every spot is labelled Sponsored with your name, and its link is marked as paid (rel="sponsored").
- A sponsor never moves a place, never gets Our pick and never counts in a list's numbers.
- Each spot runs one sponsor at a time. While a spot is unsold, it shows LaunchList's own note, labelled as ours.
- No sponsor on a place's own page, in a launch plan, or while someone searches.
- We only take products that help people launch: tools, services and communities for founders.

## How booking works

1. Ask for rates: tell us the spot, the list and your dates with the form on https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/sponsor.
2. We reply by email with the open dates and the price, usually within a couple of days.
3. We send a Stripe payment link for the dates you pick.
4. Once it is paid, we switch your spot on for your dates. It ends by itself after the last day.

## Questions

### How much does a sponsor spot cost?

It depends on the spot and the dates, so we reply with the price for the dates you ask for. There is no public price list yet.

### How long does a spot run?

For the dates you book. It switches on the first day and ends by itself after the last one.

### Can a sponsor rank higher or get Our pick?

No. A sponsor spot sits outside the ranking. It never moves a place, never gets Our pick and never counts in a list's numbers, and the places a list or an alternatives page shows are the same with or without a sponsor.

### What does the spot show?

Your logo, your product's name, one short line and a link, labelled Sponsored with your name. The link is marked as paid for search engines.

### Who can sponsor?

Products that help people launch: tools, services and communities for founders.
