# Review sites where you can list your software We checked 32 review sites from Oct 14 to 30, 2026: 32 were online. 6 list you for free, and 0 of the 5 whose listings we opened gave a dofollow link. Review sites are where buyers compare software and read reviews. A listing helps people find you when they look for an alternative to a tool they already use. Source: https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/review-sites. Checked Oct 14 to 30, 2026. Updated Oct 29, 2026. ## At a glance - Online: 32 of 32 (Answered when we checked) - New listings, dated: 0 (Showed listings we could date) - Free to submit: 6 (Free, or free with a paid option) - Dofollow link: 0 of 5 (Of those whose listings we opened) - Badge needed: 1 (Ask for their badge on your site) ## Best picks by goal Chosen from our checks alone: the facts named are the ones we confirmed. - **On the most visited site:** [Trustpilot](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/review-sites/trustpilot). Among the 10,000 most visited sites (Tranco, Oct 2026). - **The most linked to by other sites:** [Trustpilot](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/review-sites/trustpilot). How often other sites link to it: 77 out of 100 (Common Crawl, Oct 2026). - **The fastest stated review:** [G2](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/review-sites/g2). Its own page says: About 3-5 business days. ## Our picks - [G2](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/review-sites/g2): Business buyers compare software here. Its own pages say a new profile is verified in about 3 to 5 business days, and a basic profile is in its no-cost plan. - [Capterra](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/review-sites/capterra): Buyers read verified user reviews here, and its pages say it lists every provider, not only those that pay for a sponsored profile. - [AlternativeTo](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/review-sites/alternativeto): People look up an alternative to an app they already know, so it fits a product that replaces one. - [Software Advice](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/review-sites/softwareadvice): A free listing for business software, though its own pages say publishing can take over six weeks. - [Crozdesk](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/review-sites/crozdesk): Free to claim a listing on a business software comparison site, through its Claim a Listing page. ## Before you list on a review site People on a review site are already comparing tools, so a listing helps most when your product is an alternative to something they know and you have customers who can write about it. A profile with no reviews does little; the work is getting the first few honest ones. We checked 32 review sites, and most do not state what a listing costs on their public pages: we could confirm the cost on 7 of them. Start with the one or two your buyers already read, and list in [Product directories](/directories/product-directories) for the slower, wider reach. ### How to do it well - Name the tool you are an alternative to, and say plainly what you do differently. - Fill in the whole profile, with pricing, screenshots and categories, before you send anyone to it. - Ask a few real customers for an honest review right after a good moment, such as a solved problem. - Reply to every review, the critical ones first, since buyers read the replies. ### Which review site fits your product Each review site has its own kind of buyer, so one that fits beats five that do not. - Business software sold to teams: G2, Capterra, GetApp, Software Advice and TrustRadius, where buyers compare tools by category. - An app that replaces a known one: AlternativeTo, where people search by the app they want to leave. - Reviews of your company rather than your product: Trustpilot. - An agency or a service firm: GoodFirms, which lists firms rather than software. ## The list "Online" means the site answered when we checked but we could not confirm a date on its listings. "Active" means we confirmed a dated listing, shown with its date. "Not known" means we could not confirm it. Price is what getting listed costs; Link is what we read on real listings. ### Recommended: online, with checked facts (11) | # | Place | What it is | Status | Price | Link | Checked | |---|---|---|---|---|---|---| | 1 | [G2](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/review-sites/g2) | G2 is a business software and services review site where buyers compare products using user reviews, and where sellers can add their own product or service. | Online | Free + paid | Redirect, no SEO value | Oct 29, 2026 | | 2 | [Capterra](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/review-sites/capterra) | Capterra is a software directory with verified user reviews. Both, if you sell software to businesses. Both are among the 10,000 most visited sites on the web, by the Tranco ranking. G2's own pages say a new profile is verified in about 3 to 5 business days and a basic profile is in its no-cost plan; Capterra says it lists every provider and sells sponsored profiles on top. ### Which review sites matter for SaaS? The ones your buyers read. For business software that usually means G2, Capterra, GetApp and TrustRadius; AlternativeTo matters when you replace a well-known app. Ask a few customers where they compared tools before they chose yours. ### Are review sites free to list on? Usually, for a basic profile. 6 of them state a free listing on their own pages, but we could confirm the cost on only 7 of the 32 we checked. A paid plan usually buys more reach, leads or review tools, not the listing itself. ### How do I get my first reviews? Ask the customers who already like the product, one at a time, with a direct link to the review form. Ten honest reviews are worth more than a full profile with none. ### Can I offer an incentive for reviews? Read each site's rules first. Trustpilot's own pages say companies may not offer incentives or pay to hide reviews. Where a site does allow a thank-you, it must be the same for any rating, never in return for a good one. ### Do review site links help SEO? Rarely. We opened real listings on 5 review sites and 4 gave nofollow links. Count on these sites for buyers, not for search. ### How long does it take to get listed on a review site? Days to weeks. G2's pages say about 3 to 5 business days for a new profile, and Software Advice says publishing can take over six weeks. 3 of the review sites we checked state a time at all. ### Should I list before I have customers? You can, but do not send people to it yet. An empty profile next to competitors with hundreds of reviews works against you. List early, then ask for reviews once you have happy customers. ### Do I need to claim a profile that already exists? Often, yes. Sites like G2, Crozdesk and TrustRadius can hold a profile of your product before you arrive, and claiming it lets you correct it and reply to reviews. ### What is the difference between a review site and a directory? A review site is built around reviews and comparisons, for buyers close to a decision. A directory lists products by category for people browsing. Directories are in Product directories. ## How we checked How we checked: from Oct 14 to 30, 2026 our checker opened each review site's home page, its submit page and up to six real listings, without AI. A price, a review time or a badge rule counts only when the place's own page states it, and a link counts only when we read it on real listings. "Not known" means we could not confirm it, not that it is missing.
