## About

Directory World is a human-edited web directory for finding and listing websites across 494 categories. The home page reports 17,000+ listings and says sites are hand-picked and reviewed for relevance. To submit, a founder chooses a specific subcategory on the site and adds the website there. If no category fits, the submit page says you can suggest a new category. The pages do not state a price, whether an account is needed, a review time, or the type of link a listing gets. The pages describe no paid listing tiers, sponsor placements or advertising options. Founders should pick the most specific subcategory before submitting, since the submit page asks for one. The copyright line shows the directory has operated since 2004.
