Deal sites sell software at a discount, often as a lifetime deal, to buyers looking for a bargain. They bring customers, at a low price.

## Best picks by goal

Chosen from our checks alone: the facts named are the ones we confirmed.

- **On the most visited site:** [AppSumo](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/deal-sites/appsumo). Among the 100,000 most visited sites (Tranco, Oct 2026).
- **The most linked to by other sites:** [AppSumo](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/deal-sites/appsumo). How often other sites link to it: 65 out of 100 (Common Crawl, Oct 2026).
- **The fastest stated review:** [GrabLTD](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/deal-sites/grabltd). Its own page says: If nobody acts within 7 days, a complete listing is approved automatically.

## Our picks

- [AppSumo](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/deal-sites/appsumo): The most visited deal site we checked. Its own pages say tools are offered for a limited time at up to 95% off, with a 60-day money-back guarantee for buyers.
- [GrabLTD](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/deal-sites/grabltd): Sells lifetime deals and subscriptions side by side, and its page says a complete listing is approved if nobody acts within 7 days.
- [SaaSPirate](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/deal-sites/saaspirate): Free to submit a deal through a short form, and its page says deals go out in a weekly newsletter.
- [Prime Club](https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/deal-sites/primeclub): Runs one or two deals at a time, each promoted for 30 days to its email subscribers and community.

## Before you run a deal

A deal site sells your software at a discount, often as a lifetime deal, to buyers who came for a bargain. That can bring hundreds of customers and cash in a few weeks, but a lifetime deal sells a product's future for money now: every buyer expects the product and support for as long as it runs.

Run one only once you know what a customer costs you to serve and the product can take a crowd. Few of these sites publish their terms: we could confirm the cost on 1 of the 11 we checked, so ask for the split before you apply. If you want buyers who pay every month, start with [Launch boards](/directories/launch-boards) instead.

### How to do it well

- Work out what each deal customer costs you to serve, including support, hosting and any AI or email usage.
- Set the limits of the deal before you apply: users, usage, which plan, and what future features are included.
- Write down the deal terms in plain words on your own site, so buyers know what they bought.
- Expect a burst of support questions in the first weeks and staff for it before the deal starts.

### How a lifetime deal works

A buyer pays once and keeps a plan for as long as the product runs. The deal site markets it to its buyers and keeps a share of each sale; you get the rest, usually paid out after the refund window ends.

- Buyers often stack several codes for higher limits, so cap how many codes one account can redeem.
- Refunds come back in the first weeks, so do not count the money until the refund window has passed.
- The customers stay, and so does the cost of serving them, with no monthly payment to cover it.

## The list

"Online" means the site answered when we checked but we could not confirm a date on its listings. "Active" means we confirmed a dated listing, shown with its date. "Not known" means we could not confirm it. Price is what getting listed costs; Link is what we read on real listings.

## Questions founders ask

### Is AppSumo worth it?

Sometimes. It is the most visited deal site we checked, and its own pages say tools sell there at up to 95% off for a limited time. It is worth it when the cash and the early users matter more than the revenue those buyers would pay later, and when serving them costs you little.

### Do lifetime deals hurt a SaaS?

They can. A deal brings buyers who never pay again, so if serving each one costs money every month, the deal loses money over time. They also expect the features you add later, unless the deal terms say otherwise.

### How do I price a lifetime deal?

From what a customer costs you, not from your monthly price. Work out the cost of serving one buyer for a few years, add support, and make sure what you keep after the site's share covers it. Cap the usage so a heavy buyer cannot cost more than they paid.

### Do lifetime deal buyers churn or need a lot of support?

Both, in a way. They have already paid, so they do not cancel, but many stop using the product after a few weeks. The ones who stay often ask for more support than monthly customers, and they ask for the features they were promised.

### What are the alternatives to AppSumo?

We checked 11 deal sites, including GrabLTD, SaaSPirate, Dealify, DealMirror, RocketHub and Prime Club. Each has its own terms, so compare them on AppSumo alternatives.

### How much does a deal site take from each sale?

It depends on the site, and most do not publish it. GrabLTD's own page says it keeps 35% of each lifetime deal sale; for the others, ask before you apply. We could confirm the cost on 1 of the 11 deal sites we checked.

### Are deal sites free to list on?

Some are free to submit to. SaaSPirate's page shows a free form for a deal, and GrabLTD's says a lifetime deal has no listing fee, since it keeps a share of each sale instead. Most of the others do not state their terms.

### Do deal sites give a backlink?

Rarely one that counts. Of the 2 deal sites whose deal pages we opened, 1 gave a dofollow link. Each record shows what we found. Run a deal for the customers, not for search.

### Should I offer a lifetime deal or a discount on a subscription?

A discount on a subscription, if the site allows it. A discount keeps buyers paying every month, so it never sells more than it can cover. GrabLTD, for one, lists subscriptions next to lifetime deals.

### When is the right time to run a lifetime deal?

When the product is stable, the price of serving a buyer is known, and you could use the cash or the feedback. Not before launch, and not when one buggy week would bury you in refund requests.

## How we checked

How we checked: from Oct 14 to 30, 2026 our checker opened each deal site's home page, its submit page and up to six real listings, without AI. A price, a review time or a badge rule counts only when the place's own page states it, and a link counts only when we read it on real listings. "Not known" means we could not confirm it, not that it is missing. The full method: https://getlaunchlist.com/directories/how-we-check.
